I haven’t written an entry in forever. I feel so out of touch. I got super busy with TEC (which was just this past weekend February 5th through 8th) and college class, which I am about to head out to.
Movie – proof there is a God, or absolute truth
- Beauty of nature – proof of God
- Get rid of idea of postmodernism where truth is relative
- Search for truth
- There is a right way to live life, movie is a journey to find meaning
- Search for wisdom
- Crazy things happening every day (hit by lightning twice) (see psych book for probability)
- “the truly unusual day is the day in which nothing unusual happens”
- quest for knowledge
- how God or no God affects how one lives their life
- address Evolution (start with it in the full way Darwin proposes then as one uncovers scientific evidence against it go back and change how we see evolution)
- Death is the end of the movie, but as the movie proposes, it doesn’t really end
- movie, makes a fantasy, realism, animation, fiction, mostly myths that reveal truth ( like Plato’s myths or use of the term)
- Movie =’s snapshot of truth (John Keats “Truth is beauty, beauty truth”)
- Throw in psychology of the human mind
- It’s got to be simple, but deep, something everyone can identify with and understand what makes them think, see something more than just what is offered in the movie (extrapolation)
- there is a God, there is a right way to live life, and there are things we can know
- The impossible will happen in the movie
- No, focus should be on what is real and should be displayed in a real way unless pose ideas off of myths to lead them to the truth
- Life’s not scripted
