Ouch, what a mean quote. It’s saying that women spend their life preparing to live. Or that they were meant to prepare for life. Or at least it distinguishes the fact that women aren’t born to live, where as men are. I guess that it’s kind of true though. Society encourages men and it’s easier for them to find and express their true self. Women are given double standards by society and it’s impossible for a woman to be both. So it’s harder to find a woman’s true self in an oppressive society. Men are taught that they can achieve their goals, but women are taught that they should just dream of home making. Even today it is harder for a woman to accomplish your dreams.
