I realize that I have been lazy about writing in my journal. Today I will write. I like the speech by Joan of Arc, but she makes a convincing argument for the death penalty. Yes, prison is inhumane, but I don’t believe humans have the right to kill people. But then, do we have the right to torture them in prison?. Horrible, but a life in prison is better than no life, right? Prison life is pretty horrible. But you still have people around you and oh, prisons and the death penalty suck. When people come out of prison most of them are not new people, they are angry because of the horrors of prison and because it’s so hard to break back into society. They are more likely to commit a crime then before they went to prison. Prison needs to be reformed because the death penalty is horrible.
