Age: 15 years old

Lord, I’m pretty confused. I’m in biology and we are studying Darwin’s theory of Evolution by natural selection. I don’t see how Evolution contradicts Christianity. Yes, I know that you created everything and to quote the pastor at the concert “ it’s easier for me to believe that God made something out of nothing then that nothing made nothing out of nothing”.  and, yes, we haven’t gotten far into this unit and haven’t learned about how the universe was formed, by his theory. But from my understanding, the creation of the universe wasn’t formed in his theory, his theory is only that life evolves and adapts and divides by natural selection. So, why couldn’t it be that you created all of us, all living creatures, but we mutated so to speak to form different variations of the same kind of animal? And this happens, and we can prove it. But having sex with another person you receive characteristics from each parent, but you are different from them. Then the people with the best traits adapt and survive by natural selection. It all makes sense and we see it happening all the time, and I just don’t see how it goes against what you say. Because, you could have put all living things here, but they cross breed and we have a variation in the species. So why is Darwin’s theory such a bad one that if you believe it then you don’t believe in you?
